Updated info on Congressional Prints, Districts and Debates

I edited in Sally Munson’s updates for the Congressional Committee Prints, Congressional Districts and Congressional Debates entries.  Some things I learned from Sally:

  • CIS (the Congressional Information Service) is now owned by Proquest;
  • The CIS/Historical Index, covering Federal legislative history materials from 1789 to 1980, is available on Lexis;
  • Detailed information on Congressional districts is available from CQ Roll Call; and
  • Congressional debates predating the Congressional Record were published in several publications, all available free online in the Library of Congress’ American Memory collection.
